48. How long can I wait before surgery?

Time of surgery depends on clinical situation of patient. Patient has to decide whether pain becomes unbearable, or when disability comes too far. Postponement of surgery does not compromise clinical results of total hip replacement afterwards! In case of resurfacing arthroplasty, we would like to mention that long-term use of anti-inflammatory drugs can compromise bone quality and make resurfacing impossible.
